In my 6 years working at Infinity middle school, Mr. G has the best SPED district and state testing data of any math general education teacher I have worked with. The SPED scholars I work with are general education scholars first, and I appreciate that Mr. G ensured their needs were met and accommodations were fulfilled while empowering them to achieve their best. One of Uplift’s core values is “Scholars First,” and this is something Mr. G fully embodies as an educator. Mr. G’s ability to relate to scholars extends to adults, and he is willing to have uncomfortable conversations with colleagues when he believes a change is necessary for the sake of the school and our scholars. Jossie is one of the most intelligent and open-hearted human beings I have had the privilege to know. His passion for humanity and especially for the Education and upliftment of children is unparalleled. I have always left our Phone conversations inspired and feeling like it is indeed possible to change The course of humanity by educating the most vulnerable and impressionable. This is no ordinary education, though.
